Almacenes Delgado e Hijos continue to grow and start work to extend their facilities.

Almacenes Delgado e Hijos have started work to extend their wholesale warehouse in Olivenza, Badajoz, in with the objective of providing their clients with the right amount of food, drinks, household products and toiletries, as well as tobacco they need for their businesses in one single store, so as to spare them unnecessay travel. Besides, the company has a fleet of commercial and goods carrying vehicles for the delivery of orders.

Almacenes Delgados e Hijos stand out for the quality of its products and the competitiveness of its prices, which has made it grow at regional and international level, and become a reference in the market. They store and distribute more than 6,000 references of products/manufacturers, and cover the market of the whole southwest Extremadura and the central area of Portugal. They also supply countries like Angola, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, etc.

In order to continue to facilitate the management and end-to-end service they offer to their clients, Almacenes Delgado e Hijos have decided to make this major investment in the extension of the area destined to CASH and, on the same occasion, to ALMACEN DE PEDIDOS (in English, “ORDER-PICKING WAREHOUSE”) and DISTRIBUCION A CLIENTES (in English, “DISTRIBUTION TO CUSTOMERS”). The built-up area of the current building will increase by 1,745 m2, which means that the total surface of CASH + ALMACEN (in English, “WAREHOUSE”) will reach more than 7,500 m2.

Once again, Almacenes Delgado e Hijos have counted on ARRAM Consultores for their growth plan. ARRAM Consultores will implement the project, carry out formalities for the obtention of business licenses and permits, and apply for grants that will help to implement the project and select suppliers. They will also be responsible for project management and construction supervision, as well as for all the legalisations necessary to the startup.

The new project that ARRAM will implement, supervise and execute will help Almacenes Delgado e Hijos to improve mainly their productivity and efficiency, and obtain benefits such as:

- intensifying quality controls and guaranteeing highest quality and traceability of products, which will help to improve their brand image;

- obtaining energy savings in the new facilities by means of the technology to be installed, and therefore reducing costs;

- strengthening their commitment to the environment by using eco-friendly technology.
